أكد الرئيس الأمريكي جو بايدن، الأحد، لرئيس أوكرانيا فولوديمير زيلينسكي، أنه سيكون هناك “رد حازم” إذا شنت روسيا غزوًا على الأراضي الأوكرانية.
الولايات المتحدة سترد بحزم إذا غزت روسيا أوكرانيا وأوضحت السكرتير الصحفي للبيت الأبيض “جين بساكي” في ظهور لتغطية محادثة هاتفية بين بايدن وزيلينسكي، أن الرئيس بايدن أوضح أن الولايات المتحدة وحلفاءها سيردون بحزم إذا غزت روسيا أوكرانيا .
ووفق ما أوردت صحيفة “لارزون ” الإسبانية فقد أعرب كل من بايدن وزيلينسكي عن دعمهما للجهود الدبلوماسية. مثل تعيين حوار الاستقرار الاستراتيجي المقرر عقده الأسبوع المقبل، أو قناة مجلس الناتو وروسيا أو منظمة الأمن والتعاون في أوروبا (OSCE).

بالإضافة إلى ذلك، شدد بايدن على التزام الولايات المتحدة بسيادة أوكرانيا ووحدة أراضيها ودعم تدابير الحد من الثقة والتوتر في دونباس، فضلاً عن الدبلوماسية النشطة لتنفيذ اتفاقيات مينسك ودعم صيغة نورماندي.
وفي الأسابيع الأخيرة وصل التوتر بين روسيا وأوكرانيا إلى ذروته، بسبب مخاوف دولية من غزو روسي محتمل للإقليم.
محادثة بين بايدن وبوتين وأجرى الرئيس الروسي فلاديمير بوتين، والرئيس الأمريكي جو بايدن، محادثة حول هذه المسألة يوم الخميس.
حيث هدد بايدن بفرض عقوبات اقتصادية “غير مسبوقة” في حالة وقوع هجوم افتراضي، وهو أمر نفاه الكرملين.
من جهته اعتبر رئيس لجنة المخابرات بمجلس النواب الأمريكي “آدم شيف” أنه من “المحتمل جدًا” أن تغزو روسيا أوكرانيا، محذرا بقوله إن “العقوبات الهائلة” فقط هي التي يمكن أن تكون بمثابة رادع.
وتابع شيف في برنامج CBS: “أخشى أن يغزو فلاديمير بوتين أوكرانيا على الأرجح. ومع ذلك بصراحة ، لا أفهم أسباب قيامه بذلك ولكن يبدو أن نيته هي ذلك، ما لم نتمكن من إقناعه”.
وكرادع يراهن “شيف” على “مستوى من العقوبات لم تشهده روسيا من قبل”.

وأوضح في حديثه: “هذا بالضبط ما نحتاج إلى فعله مع حلفائنا”.
هذا وأشار شيف أيضا إلى أنه “ليس لديه مشكلة” في معاقبة بوتين شخصيًا. لكنه يعتبر أن “العقوبات حسب القطاعات هي الأهم”.
وأضاف: “أعتقد أيضا أنه يمكن أن يكون بمثابة رادع قوي لفهم أنهم إذا قاموا بغزو. فإن الناتو سيكون أقرب إلى روسيا وليس بعيدا”.
