شارك موقع قناة ناشيونال جيوغرافيك دراسة أجريت عام 2008. وحللت المدة التي يمكن أن تتحمل فيها زجاجة الماء الحرارة قبل أن تصل إلى مستوى غير آمن من الأنتيمون السام المستخدم في البلاستيك.

وجدت الدراسة أن المياه المعبأة آمنة في طقس تكون فيه 70 درجة فهرنهايت. لكن خلال الأيام الحارة، ليس هذا هو الحال.

عندما تتعرض زجاجات المياه للحرارة الشديدة، يستغرق الأمر خمسة أسابيع فقط من التعرض لهذا القدر من الحرارة حتى يتم الكشف عن مستويات غير آمنة من الأنتيمون في الماء.

لذلك، لتجنب شرب المياه غير الآمنة، من المهم التأكد من استهلاك المياه المعبأة التي تحتفظ بها في سيارتك وتغييرها بانتظام.

جرب شراء زجاجة ماء عندما تحتاجها بدلًا من ترك زجاجات إضافية في الشمس لفترة طويلة.

يمكنك أيضًا الاحتفاظ بزجاجة قابلة لإعادة الاستخدام في متناول الأيدي حتى تتمكن من ملؤها متى احتجت إلى ذلك دون التعرض لخطر ترك الماء في الشمس لفترات طويلة من الوقت.
