وطن – تحدُث السكتة الدماغية عندما تنقطع امدادات الدم عن جزء من الدماغ أو تنخفض، وفي بعض الحالات يمكن أن تكون قاتلة.
السكتة الدماغية مثل العديد من الحالات الصحية الأخرى، يمكن أن يلعب ما تأكله دورًا في احتمالية إصابتك بسكتة دماغية ، وهذا لأن ارتفاع ضغط الدم وارتفاع الكوليسترول ومرض السكري كلّها حالات يمكن أن تزيد من فرص الإصابة بسكتة دماغية.
وفي هذا السياق، تحدثت صحيفة “إكسبريس ” إلى خبير التغذية البريطاني روب هوبسون ، والذي أوصى بتناول التفاح والكمثرى ، لتقليل خطر الإصابة بالسكتة الدماغية.
تناول التفاح والكمثرى لتقليل خطر الإصابة بالسكتة الدماغية وإستشهد الخبير هوبسون بدراسة نُشرت في مجلة Atherosclerosis، والتي كشفت عن أهمية الفاكهة ، والدور الذي تلعبه في صحة القلب، قائلاً: “هذه دراسة مفيدة حقًا لأنها تسلط الضوء على الدور المهم الذي يجب أن تلعبه الفواكه والخضروات في صحة قلبك، وخاصة خطر الإصابة بالسكتة الدماغية”.
مضيفاً: “أظهرت الدراسة أن أولئك الذين تناولوا أعلى كمية من الفواكه والخضروات كانوا أقلّ عرضة للإصابة بسكتة دماغية بنسبة 13٪. و أولئك الذين تناولوا التفاح والكمثرى بانتظام كانوا أقل عرضة للإصابة بسكتة دماغية بنسبة 11 في المائة، من أولئك الذين لم يأكلوا هذه الأنواع من الفواكه”.
وخلصت الدراسة إلى أنّ أولئك الذين تناولوا أكبر كمية من الفاكهة والخضروات، أي التفاح والكمثرى والخضروات ذات الأوراق الخضراء، كانوا أقل عرضة للإصابة بالسكتة الدماغية.
الكمثرى وأضاف هوبسون: “الكمثرى تحتوي على مركبات الفلافونويد وهي مركبات مضادة للأكسدة تساعد في مكافحة الالتهاب وتقلل من خطر الإصابة بالأمراض ومن المحتمل أن هذه المركبات، إلى جانب المحتوى العالي من الألياف في الكمثرى، كان لها تأثير على هذا الحد من خطر الإصابة بالسكتة الدماغية”.
