A video has recently gone viral on social media platforms, showcasing an individual impersonating the late Libyan leader, Muammar Gaddafi. Captured by “Watan”, the video displays the man, dressed similarly to Gaddafi, garnering significant attention and admiration from onlookers. He wore attire reminiscent of Gaddafi’s frequent public appearances, including a robe, head cap, dark sunglasses, and a prominent hairstyle. To complete the portrayal, he was accompanied by a personal guard and was seen in a convertible car, greeting passersby in a manner reminiscent of the late Libyan leader.

Another video clip showed the Gaddafi lookalike inside the car, performing Gaddafi’s signature hand gesture. According to social media users, the impersonator, accompanied by security, placed a wreath of flowers in memory of the victims of the February 17th revolution in the city of Bani Walid.
It’s worth noting that the real Muammar Gaddafi, who ruled Libya for over 40 years, was killed on October 20, 2011, during the Battle of Sirte. He was found hiding in a drainage pipe west of Sirte by the National Transitional Council forces. Shortly after his capture, Gaddafi succumbed to injuries sustained during a firefight. However, a video surfaced showing Gaddafi alive, being beaten by rebels, pleading for mercy.
