In a recent act of brutality, Israeli forces committed a heinous crime, captured in video footage, during the arrest of a Palestinian girl named Mariam Ayash, near “Bab Hatta” (one of the gates of the Al-Aqsa Mosque) in occupied Jerusalem. A video circulating on the former Twitter platform, now called “X”, documents the moment the Palestinian girl was assaulted. She was viciously kicked while lying on the ground, dragged, and then stomped on with boots, even being electrocuted.
Another clip shows Mariam Ayash lying on the ground, surrounded by heavily armed Israeli forces. One of them pointed his weapon at the protesters to intimidate them. The Palestinian Prisoners’ Affairs Authority reported that Mariam Ayash from Jenin was arrested by Israeli forces near Bab Hatta, one of the gates of the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
In a related incident, the Israeli newspaper “Haaretz” revealed that two armed Israeli female soldiers, part of a 50-soldier military force, forced five Palestinian women to undress inside their home after raiding it in the southern part of Hebron city. This incident occurred on July 10th, around 1:30 am. The women were threatened with police dogs and were forced to undress in front of their children. The soldiers then stole gold jewelry and money from the house.
In response to these events, the President of the Palestinian National Council, Ruhi Fatouh, stated that the actions of the Israeli female soldiers, who invaded a residential building in Hebron and threatened several women inside with police dogs, forcing them to undress, reflects the moral degradation of the Israeli army and its government. He called on the United Nations, international parliaments, human rights organizations, and institutions to investigate this assault, which affects all Palestinians.
