Watan- Egyptian actress Amal Ramzi has stirred significant controversy by revealing new details about the prostitution case in which she and 12 other actresses were accused, known at the time as the “White Slave” case. During an interview on the “Cairo and People” program on the “Alpha” network, Ramzi stated that the case from the 1970s was fabricated.
A Famous Arab Leader’s Involvement
Amal disclosed that a renowned Arab leader was behind the “White Slave” case. She mentioned that this leader used to visit Egypt frequently and sought to organize private parties with actresses. After several of them declined his offers, the case was concocted against them.

The case led to the accusation of 12 actresses of prostitution. Among those accused were Mimi Shakib, the primary defendant, Nahed Yousri, Samia Shakri, Mimi Gamal, and others.

The case captivated public attention and was extensively covered by newspapers in 1974. After 170 days of trial, the actresses were released on the grounds of not being caught in the act. Subsequently, the case was closed.
