George Wassouf’s Alleged Car Accident: Separating Fact from Fiction

Rumors recently spread about the Syrian singer, George Wassouf, being involved in a car accident on the Al-Baddawi road in northern Lebanon. Lebanese media outlets reported that George Wassouf’s car skidded on the road into a pothole in the Al-Baddawi area, leading to a tire explosion. A Lebanese news page even shared this news.

However, Maya Matar, George Wassouf’s manager, refuted these claims, assuring that the Sultan of Tarab (a title often given to George Wassouf) is in good health. She clarified in an interview with the “Al-Jadeed” channel that George’s car merely pulled over to change a tire. She emphasized that the rumors about him being in a car accident are baseless.

Furthermore, the newspaper “Al-Nahar” confirmed that Wassouf is perfectly fine and what happened was merely a technical malfunction in the car he was in, which required them to park it and address the issue.
