Watan- In a recent social media storm, Saudi Arabia’s online community expressed profound outrage against a Saudi woman for her offensive remarks about Prophet Muhammad and his wife, Khadijah bint Khuwaylid. The woman, identified by her online moniker “Qulori”, became the subject of intense scrutiny and criticism after her tweets, which many deemed blasphemous, went viral.

Saudi Twitter users extensively shared Qulori’s tweets, which contained derogatory comments about Prophet Muhammad and his wife, Khadijah. In one instance, Qulori posted a picture of her smartwatch displaying an image of a male doctor kissing a female doctor’s forehead, commenting on her obsession with the image. However, it was her subsequent tweets, where she dragged the Prophet and his wife into unrelated discussions, that ignited the controversy.

Responding to a critic who disapproved of relationships outside of marriage, Qulori insinuated that Prophet Muhammad had loved outside of wedlock. In another tweet, she sarcastically questioned the propriety of Khadijah proposing marriage to Muhammad.

The backlash was swift and severe. Many Saudi Twitter users condemned Qulori’s audacity and her mockery of revered Islamic figures. In a show of collective disapproval, two trending hashtags emerged on the platform: “Arrest Qulori” and “Qulori Insults the Mother of Believers”. The hashtags quickly topped the trending list in the Kingdom.

Amid the uproar, many called on the authorities to take swift action against Qulori, hoping her case would serve as a deterrent to others. It’s worth noting that Qulori attempted to delete her controversial responses, but vigilant users had already captured screenshots of her offensive interactions.
