Steve Jobs Alive in Egypt? Viral Photo Sparks Debate

Watan – A photo that has been making rounds on social media platforms has ignited a flurry of debate and speculation. The image, initially shared on Facebook in 2019 and later on Reddit, showcases a man in Cairo, Egypt, who bears a striking resemblance to Steve Jobs, the former CEO of Apple. This has led many conspiracy theorists to suggest that Jobs might still be alive and possibly overseeing the launch of the new iPhone.

Steve Jobs was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in 2003 and passed away in 2011 at the age of 56. He was succeeded by Tim Cook as Apple’s CEO. Despite this well-documented history, the uncanny resemblance of the man in the photo to Jobs has fueled various theories. Some even suggest that Jobs might have faked his death and is now living a simple life in Egypt.

The British newspaper “Daily Star” highlighted that the man in the photo not only looks like Jobs but also appears to be barefoot, a known preference of the late Apple CEO. However, a notable difference is that the man is seen wearing a regular watch, not the high-tech Apple Watch.

Commenting on the photo on Reddit, one user stated, “I know this is supposed to be a joke, but this guy looks so much like Steve Jobs that it can’t be a coincidence.” Another added, “Even something about the way he sits.” Some even pointed out that Jobs’ biological father was of Arab descent, which might explain the resemblance. His birth name was Abdulfattah Jandali, but he was later adopted and renamed by Paul and Clara Jobs.

The resurgence of this photo’s popularity coincides with Apple’s recent unveiling of the iPhone 15 series. For the first time since 2012, Apple has changed the charging port on its flagship device, replacing the USB-C port with the Lightning port to comply with European Union regulations.
