Watan – In a delightful twist of events, a renowned Turkish pastry chef was gifted a TOGG electric car, a symbol of Turkey’s automotive pride, for his unique creation. The chef, based in the province of Bursa in northwestern Turkey, had crafted a cake resembling the TOGG car and presented it to the company’s team. Little did he know that this gesture would earn him a real TOGG car in return.
A video circulating on Turkish media platforms showcases the moment the chef, known as one of the most prominent pastry experts in Bursa, receives the car. His joy is palpable, and the heartwarming scene has since become a viral sensation.
While it remains unclear whether the cake was a gift or a commissioned piece, the value of the cake, no matter how intricate, pales in comparison to the TOGG car he received. The chef’s elation was evident as he took in the magnitude of the gift.
TOGG, which stands for Türkiye’nin Otomobili Girişim Grubu (Turkey’s Automobile Joint Venture Group), represents a consortium of companies that came together to produce Turkey’s indigenous electric car. The group includes prominent names like Anadolu Efes, BMC, Turkcell, Zorlu Holding, and the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey.
Last month, Turkey’s Minister of Treasury and Finance, Muhammed Şimşek, along with the Minister of Industry and Technology, Muhammed Fatih Kaçır, visited the TOGG manufacturing plant in the Gemlik region of Bursa. They hailed the venture as a success story for Turkey, emphasizing the nation’s strides in technological advancements.
