In an interview with the state-operated SR radio, Anas Dinesh, the mosque’s Communications Director, articulated his conviction that the fire was not a mere mishap but a calculated act of arson. He referenced historical instances of threats and attacks on the mosque, underscoring the deliberate nature of this calamity.
In an official communique, local law enforcement agencies have deemed the mosque as non-operational owing to the extensive damage incurred. Probes for this distressing event are in progress.
