Watan – Sharif Mounir, the esteemed Egyptian actor, recently made headlines with an Instagram post announcing his divorce from Lora Emad. His initial message read, “Lora and I are officially divorced. Life moves in mysterious ways, and I genuinely wish her happiness.” Shortly after, he updated the post with a more reflective note: “Better days are ahead.”
In a bold response, Lora Emad took to her own Instagram. She shared a video dancing to Baha Sultan’s hit, “Origin of Coquetry.” Her chosen caption, echoing the song’s lyrics, subtly conveyed her emotions: “The wind went your way.”
Background reveals that Mounir had previously been married to Nahed, who tragically passed away due to cancer. They shared two children, Asmaa and Fouad. Lora Emad, born in 1972, began her career as a model for advertisements. Her entry into the world of acting was somewhat serendipitous, thanks to director Tarek El Telmissany. She debuted in the 1988 film “The Hero.” After taking a break to focus on family life, Lora made a comeback in 2021 with the series “My Share and Your Share”.
