Homs Military College Drone Strike: Unraveling the Narrative

Watan – In a recent turn of events, the Military College in Homs, Syria, became the focal point of international attention due to a drone strike during its graduation ceremony. As images of the aftermath began circulating, the narrative became increasingly complex.

The “Misbar” website, renowned for its rigorous fact-checking, questions the authenticity of these images. Their research suggests that the drone in the photos doesn’t relate to the Homs event. Instead, American forces downed it near Tal Bidar, west of Syria’s Hasakah province. It’s a Turkish drone, marking a significant revelation: Washington’s first public acknowledgment of targeting a Turkish aircraft, a NATO ally.

The recent drone strike at the Homs Military College graduation ceremony has sent shockwaves throughout Syria. The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reports a staggering death toll of 110 individuals. As the nation grapples with this tragedy, the Syrian regime’s army quickly pointed fingers at “terrorist organizations” for orchestrating this heinous act.

The mystery deepens as no extremist group has stepped forward to admit their involvement. It’s crucial to highlight that various armed opposition factions, known for controlling parts of Syrian territory, have previously employed drones as part of their warfare tactics.
