Watan – Content: Activists on social media shared a video of a Palestinian child recounting his miraculous escape from certain death after Israeli aircraft bombed his home in Gaza, resulting in the amputation of one of his legs.
Lying on a hospital bed, the child, whose hands were bandaged, narrated how he woke up from unconsciousness to find his leg “cut off and thrown beside him.” He remained immobile for an entire hour until someone came to his aid.
The child, with evident emotion in his voice, mentioned his passion for playing football and how he used to enjoy the sport. Now, he can no longer play due to the loss of his leg and his hands wrapped in casts. Tearfully, he added, “All of this is because of the occupation. If not for them, this wouldn’t have happened to us.”
For the 20th consecutive day, the Israeli occupation continues its aggression on the besieged Gaza Strip, resulting in the martyrdom of 7,028 Palestinians, including 2,913 children, 1,709 women, and 397 elderly. The Israeli aggression has also injured 18,484 individuals, with over 1,950 still missing under the rubble, according to the latest statistics, which change hourly due to the relentless bombardment.
