The Al-Rantisi Specialized Children’s Hospital is one of the hospitals that has been heavily targeted by Israeli bombardment in the past few hours, leading to a large fire breaking out on the lower floor of the hospital and some of its facilities.

On his part, the director of Al-Rantisi Children’s Hospital, Mustafa Al-Kahlout, stated that the Israeli army has been besieging the hospital for hours, with occupation tanks stationed in its vicinity.

Al-Kahlout warned of a serious disaster, as it has become impossible to provide the minimum medical services to patients.

The director of Al-Rantisi Specialized Children’s Hospital appealed to international organizations to work on protecting the hospital’s staff and the displaced individuals within it.

Intense bombardment on hospitals

Since dawn, the Israeli occupation army has been heavily bombing several hospitals in the Gaza Strip, resulting in casualties and injuries.

The Gaza Government Media Office announced that 18 hospitals have gone out of service since the beginning of the ongoing war in the sector, which has been continuing for 35 days.

Officials in the Gaza Strip reported that the Israeli occupation army carried out airstrikes on at least three hospitals or in their vicinity, posing a threat to the healthcare system already facing significant challenges due to the influx of thousands of injured and displaced Palestinians into hospitals.
