Tragic Video Depicts Palestinian Youth Collecting Spilled Water on Ground Amidst Gaza Blockade

Watan-Activists have shared a distressing and poignant video across social media platforms, depicting a Palestinian youth collecting water spilled on the street to drink. This dire situation is a result of the Israeli occupation’s blockade on the Gaza Strip since the onset of hostilities on October 7th of last year.

The circulating video reveals a Palestinian young man gathering water from the street after its supply was disrupted due to the comprehensive blockade imposed by the Israeli occupation on the residents of the Gaza Strip.

Palestinian Youth Collects Water from the Streets Due to Severe Blockade in Gaza

In the tragic video that has reached the residents of the Gaza Strip following the ongoing Israeli occupation blockade, a young man is seen using a piece of cloth to gather water spilled on the street. He then places the collected water into a large water bottle, as access to water has been cut off for him and his family due to the blockade.

Since the initiation of its war on Gaza on October 7th of last month, the Israeli occupation has imposed a comprehensive blockade on the Strip. This blockade encompasses essential services such as water, electricity, internet, and telecommunications. Moreover, there are significant challenges in the entry of humanitarian aid through the Rafah border crossing with Egypt to the residents of the Gaza Strip.

Forced Displacement of Civilians in Gaza

The Israeli occupation has also implemented a policy of forced displacement against civilians in the northern areas of Gaza, compelling them to migrate on foot towards the southern part of the Gaza Strip, traversing Salah al-Din Street, which separates the southern and northern regions.

The Israeli occupation has committed over 1,130 massacres against civilians, including children, women, and the elderly, in various locations throughout the Gaza Strip. Hundreds of them have tragically lost their lives, while others remain trapped beneath the rubble of destroyed homes to this day.

It is noteworthy that the toll of the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip has risen to over 11,000 Palestinian martyrs, with approximately 28,000 wounded, their injuries ranging from moderate to severe, as reported by the Palestinian Ministry of Health at the time of writing this news.
