Watan-The brutal and savage Israeli bombardment of the Gaza Strip resulted in the double amputation of the feet of a Palestinian girl named ‘Malak Abu Jazar.’ This cruel fate was imposed on the innocent child, who, after 14 years of anticipation by her parents, now faces a life of immobility and disability without limbs. Her survival, following the war, is uncertain, prompting her father to lament and appeal to the Arab leaders.
Two-year-old Malak Husam Abu Jazar lost her legs in an Israeli airstrike that targeted her family’s home on October 17th of the past year. The attack resulted in the tragic loss of lives and injuries among dozens of her family members and neighbors.

Malak, born after 14 years of fertility treatments, suffered severe injuries in an airstrike that led to the amputation of her feet.
Her father, Husam Abu Jazar, along with his wife, shared their daughter’s story in an exclusive interview with Al Jazeera. With evident pain for what has befallen his daughter, whom he was blessed with after years of deprivation, he added, ‘May Allah be our reckoner and avenger against all those who have abandoned the Palestinian people. We are being killed, and the Arab nations watch us while sending us biscuits.
In the aftermath of an Israeli airstrike, the grieving mother, Hala Abu Jazar, questioned, ‘What is the fault of this child? What has she done to have her limbs severed like this?’ Continuing from the depth of her heart, she directed her plea to the submissive Arab leaders, saying, ‘May Allah be my reckoner and avenger against the Arab rulers, and against everyone who witnesses what is happening to us and remains silent.’
