Palestinian Father Bids Farewell to His Infant Son After His Demise During Forced Displacement in Southern Gaza (Video)

Watan-Farewell to a Palestinian father who lost his infant, barely a year and a half old, as he became a martyr during his family’s displacement from the north to the south of the Gaza Strip in search of shelter. This tragic event is a result of the ongoing Israeli war on Gaza, now entering its 37th day.

The circulating video on social media portrays the sorrow and anger of the Palestinian father towards the loss of his young child, who became a casualty during their forced displacement under the policy of forced migration practiced by the occupation against civilians in the northern areas and the city of Gaza. They were compelled to head south within the Gaza Strip.

What is the fault of this child to die?!

The father of the Palestinian infant, carrying him in his arms, said, “This is my child who just passed away… What is the fault of this child to die on the way (during displacement)… Why should a child like this die? The reason is the deadly journey, my brother.”

The infant lost his life during his family’s displacement from the north to the south of the Gaza Strip, a result of the forced migration policy imposed by the Israeli occupation, threatening the residents of Gaza, compounded by the current weather conditions in the Gaza Strip.

Children with congenital disorders are threatened with death

Approximately 6,000 Palestinian children and more have lost their lives since the beginning of the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip. Among the most notable cases is the demise of three children with congenital disorders inside the Dar Al-Shifa Medical Complex west of Gaza City. They were transferred from the maternity ward and placed in an unsuitable room due to the lack of fuel to operate the incubators to save them.

It is worth noting that the toll of the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip has surpassed 11,000 Palestinian martyrs, the majority of whom were civilians, including children, women, and the elderly. Around 28,000 people have sustained various injuries, and there are still individuals trapped under the rubble as of now, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health.
