Watan-“The Jews cut off the water, but our Lord brought us water”. Praise be to Allah that our Lord has provided for us, my people,” said a Palestinian child while collecting rainwater due to the low-pressure system affecting the country. This is a result of the Israeli occupation’s ongoing blockade on Gaza for the 39th consecutive day.

Activists shared a video on social media platforms showing a Palestinian child gathering rainwater during the low-pressure system in Gaza. In the video, the child expresses gratitude, saying, “Praise be to Allah, my people, for Allah has blessed us with rainwater.

The child continued with simple words, “Allah knew that we are suffering, and He sent us water… sweet water too.”

One of his relatives responded in the video, “The Jews cut off the water, but our Lord brought us water.”

Since the beginning of the Israeli war on October 7th, the Israeli occupation has imposed restrictions on the residents of Gaza. This followed the heroic operation carried out by the Palestinian resistance against settlements established on the Palestinian territories occupied in 1948, adjacent to the border strip with Gaza.

No water, no electricity, and no food in the Gaza strip

Basic essentials are not available to Palestinians in Gaza due to the ongoing Israeli war on the region. There is no water or electricity since they were cut off at the beginning of the war. Moreover, essential food items such as flour and sugar, among others, and fuel are prohibited from entering Gaza due to the Israeli occupation.

The aid that enters through the Rafah border crossing with the Arab Republic of Egypt is just a drop in the ocean of the necessary needs for the residents of Gaza amid the ongoing Israeli war on the region.

Over 11,000 Palestinian martyrs have fallen, the majority of whom were civilians, including children, women, and the elderly. Approximately 29,000 have been wounded with various injuries up to this moment. There are still missing individuals under the rubble of destroyed homes due to the continuous bombardment by the occupation forces on Gaza.
