Watan-In the ongoing conflict between the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, the occupying army continued to commit massacres against Palestinians, with six martyrs reported due to the incursion of occupation forces into the city and refugee camp of Tulkarm.

The invasion began with Israeli special forces entering the Tulkarm camp, and upon their discovery by resistance fighters and civilians, the occupation forces deployed significant reinforcements.

In the initial toll, three resistance fighters were martyred in a drone strike launched by the occupation forces, and several others were injured. An hour earlier, Israeli forces had shot and killed two young men with live ammunition during the incursion into the Tulkarm camp and city. Subsequently, the casualty count rose to six in later reports.

The six martyrs have been identified as Walid Musie, Saeed Salman Abu Tahoun, Jihad Khaled Ghanem, Musab Omar Al-Ghoul, Hazem Mohammad Hasari, and Mahmoud Ali Haddaida.

Occupation forces positioned snipers on the rooftops of several buildings, while a reconnaissance plane circled the area at low altitude.

The occupation forces besieged the Tulkarm camp from all directions, preventing ambulance vehicles from reaching the injured. Additionally, they arrested the injured individual, Mudhat Abu Amsha, from the ambulance while he was being transported to the hospital.

Heavy machinery, including a military bulldozer of the D9 type, was used during the incursion. It began to bulldoze School Street at the camp’s entrance, causing damage to the infrastructure.

Furthermore, the occupation forces’ bulldozer destroyed a section of the open university street in the city, near the camp.

Intense clashes with the resistance fighters have been reported

On the ground, fierce clashes have erupted between occupation soldiers and Palestinian resistance fighters who have deployed several improvised explosive devices in the Tulkarm camp. This has resulted in the disabling of at least one military vehicle.

The Al-Qassam Brigades in Tulkarm stated in a release: “Our fighters are engaging in intense confrontations with the invading occupation forces in the Tulkarm camp on multiple fronts. During these clashes, homemade explosive devices were detonated targeting the occupation forces’ vehicles and soldiers.

The second incursion within a week

This marks the second invasion of the camp within a week, during which special forces assassinated four young men, injured six civilians, and inflicted damage to the infrastructure of its streets and alleys.

With their martyrdom, the death toll in the Tulkarm governorate since the start of the Israeli war on the seventh of October last year has now risen to 30 martyrs.
