Watan-“With neither a jacket nor trousers on me, I feel detached from people,” described a Palestinian displaced person along with his family inside a tent at one of the shelter centers in the southern Gaza Strip. This displacement is a result of the policy of forced displacement under the threat of Israeli occupation during its ongoing war on Gaza.
Families of displaced Palestinians in Gaza, from the northern region to the city of Gaza, heading towards the southern Gaza Strip, are facing hardship and harsh conditions after being notified by the Israeli occupation to leave their homes, warning of the bombing of their houses if they choose to stay.
“No jacket, no trousers with me”
In a video posted by Al Jazeera Palestine on its (X) platform, a journalist inquired, in the Palestinian dialect, of a displaced Palestinian, ‘Why aren’t you wearing a jacket? Aren’t you cold?’ To which he responded, ‘I swear, I have neither a jacket nor trousers… I feel detached from people.’
Meanwhile, a Palestinian woman responded to a journalist’s question about their preparedness for the winter after being displaced to shelter centers due to the ongoing Israeli war on Gaza, now in its 41st consecutive day.
