Watan-The Palestinian child, Wateen Abu Hameza, was the sole survivor in her family after the Israeli occupation forces bombed their home during their ongoing war on the Gaza Strip, now in its 42nd consecutive day. However, she succumbed to her injuries and joined her family due to her critical condition.

Palestinian activist Ismail Abu Omar captured a video of the martyr child, Wateen, the only survivor from her family, all of whom became martyrs due to the Israeli bombardment of their home in Gaza. Despite her serious condition, she spent a few days in intensive care before passing away.

In the circulated video on social media platforms, a Palestinian paramedic told activist Abu Omar, ‘The house was directly targeted by the Israeli occupation, and everyone inside was civilians. Everyone in the house was martyred, and Wateen was the only survivor. She was admitted to intensive care, but due to the severity of her injuries, she became a martyr.”

The paramedic continued, “The martyr child, Wateen, has joined her family who became martyrs due to the bombing of their home. Consequently, the entire family has been completely erased from the civil registry.”

The Israeli war on Gaza

This is one of many Palestinian families completely erased from the civil registry in Gaza, following the Israeli occupation forces’ indiscriminate bombing of civilian homes without prior warning, targeting the residents during their ongoing war on the region.

The Israeli occupation has committed over 1,170 massacres against civilians, including children, women, and the elderly, in various locations across the Gaza Strip since the start of the Israeli war on October 7th of last year.

According to the official media office in Gaza, more than 12,000 Palestinian martyrs, including 5,000 children, have been reported, and around 29,000 others have been injured with various wounds. Additionally, more than 2,000 people remain trapped under the rubble of destroyed homes to this moment.
