Analyzing the Gaza conflict with Dr. Azmi Bishara and revealing unseen forces at Play

Watan-The well-known Arab intellectual, Dr. Azmi Bishara, will condemn what he described as the failure of Arab countries so far to provide the minimum support to Gaza, including the entry of aid and fuel to the besieged enclave, ‘without the permission of the criminal Netanyahu and in coordination with him.’ This comes despite the decision made by 57 countries to support breaking the blockade, referring to the recent decisions of the ‘Riyadh Summit.’

On Saturday, the Israeli aggression on Gaza continued for the 43rd day, with the occupation forces evacuating the ‘Shifa’ medical complex of most of the wounded, patients, displaced people, and doctors, who headed south on foot in a tragic scene.

Azmi Bishara comments on the humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza

In a tweet on his official account on (X) website, Azmi Bishara stated that after the deliberate killing of patients in the ‘Shifa’ complex and other hospitals in the Gaza Strip, we hope that politicians will not come out and inform us that this is a war crime, that it violates international law, or demand Israel’s international trial.”

He continued, criticizing Arab positions that do not align with the catastrophe at all: ‘These analyses and descriptions are good for nothing. They neither advance nor delay, even if they are stated with passion and a loud voice. Instead, they are used to evade taking steps to stop the crime.’

“Bishara” clarified that it is incomprehensible that Arab countries are still incapable of doing anything less than stopping the crime, such as bringing in aid and fuel ‘without the permission of the aggressive criminal who kills patients and children, and coordinating with him, despite the decision made by 57 countries to support breaking the blockade.

The Battle is Not Just Against Netanyahu

In a fresh analysis of the situation, the prominent Arab intellectual addressed the events from a different perspective, stating that there is a transitional phase where even leaders find themselves in a state of suspension, with a plethora of analyses coming from all directions.

Azmi Bishara continued in another tweet, as reported by (Watan), clarifying: “It is easily said that the reason for the continuation of the war is Netanyahu’s fear of stopping it, as he will be held accountable afterward. Netanyahu’s political era ended on October 7, but that is not the reason for the war’s continuation. There is an Israeli consensus on aggression, and it is the generals who are managing the war.”

And he pointed out that these generals are ‘more extremist than Netanyahu in the matter of continuing until the goal is achieved and more extremist than him in the so-called humanitarian truces, as they claim to cut off the army’s momentum.

Exploiting the American Green Light

Azmi Bishara emphasized that the battle is not only against Netanyahu, and the continuation of the war and its crimes is a matter of revenge, restoring balance, deterrence, and exploiting the American green light to completely change the situation and achieve actual strategic goals.

He concluded by explaining that these goals are not limited to Gaza, and it is the duty of the brave resistance first and solidarity campaigns with Gaza second to confront them, rather than focusing on small political calculations like Netanyahu.

On Saturday morning, Israeli warplanes targeted several residential apartments in the city of Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip, resulting in the death of around 28 Palestinians, most of them children.

Israeli planes also targeted the “Jabalia Camp” in the northern Gaza Strip, leading to the death and injury of others.

The large mosque in the “Maghazi Camp” in the besieged central Gaza Strip was also targeted, bringing the total number of mosques targeted by Israel in the Strip to 242.
