Watan-A video has circulated on social media featuring an American woman who identifies as an atheist, drawing a connection between the resilience of the people of Gaza against the Israeli aggression and the Quran. She urged her fellow citizens to send copies of the Holy Quran to the White House as a form of protest against Joe Biden’s policies supportive of Israel.
In the widely-shared video, the woman stated, “I am an atheist, but I requested a copy of the Quran.” She went on to say, “If this book is the secret to the resilience of the Palestinians that we witness, then I will read it.”
“Send the Quran to Joe Biden”
The woman then turned to discuss the American President, Joe Biden, and his supportive stance towards the occupation, stating, “I also believe that each one of us should send a copy of the Quran addressed to Joe Biden to the White House.”
She further urged the sending of “millions of copies of the Quran to the White House” because, as she claimed Biden had stated that there was no possibility of stopping the ceasefire, she believed there was no possibility of voting for him as well.
The atheist woman concluded in the circulated video, saying, “If you won’t vote for Joe Biden, send him a copy of the Quran, and let’s see how many copies will reach him by next week.”
The video prompted some online users to recall a significant historical incident when Al-Walid ibn Al-Mughira, who was a disbeliever at the time, listened to the Quran. Despite being a staunch opponent, he acknowledged the eloquence of the Quranic verses, as mentioned in the Quran itself.
One follower mentioned that the Israeli war on Gaza led many people interested in global news to read and explore the Quran, with some converting to Islam afterward.
Another commenter on the video expressed, “You don’t have to be a Muslim to support Palestine, but you have to be human.”

On November 11, 2023, the “Towards Freedom” account on the TikTok platform shared a video featuring a well-known atheist TikToker. In a live broadcast, she expressed curiosity about the secret behind the resilience of the people of Gaza in the face of the brutal Israeli war.
People commented on the atheist’s posts, suggesting that the Quran might be the key to the steadfastness of Gaza residents. Shortly afterward, she appeared in another broadcast, announcing her conversion to Islam, reciting the Shahada, and openly declaring her newfound faith.
