Watan-The Israeli newspaper Haaretz revealed that the occupation army ignored warnings issued by an Israeli military unit shortly before carrying out the Al-Aqsa Storm operation on the seventh of October last year.
According to the newspaper, a unit of the occupation army was monitoring the borders with the Gaza Strip and had warned of what it described as “suspicious” activity in the sector, but this warning was ignored.
The unit, consisting entirely of young women and led by female commanders, reportedly alerted to this activity on the Gaza border, as per Israeli military sources.
Ignoring Serious Messages
The leadership of the Israeli occupation army disregarded these warnings, despite them containing messages about the preparations of Hamas fighters to overcome barriers and deploy means to disable cameras.
One military official stated, “The army abandoned intelligence officers and simply killed them without being able to defend themselves.”
Ignoring a Warning the Night Before the Al-Aqsa Storm
This is not the first time that Israeli disregard for warnings in this regard has been revealed. A report by the military affairs analyst for Haaretz, Amos Harel, previously exposed that the political level in the Israeli entity received warnings from the security level regarding suspicions about movements on the southern front the night before the “Al-Aqsa Storm” operation. However, these signals were ignored and considered “weak.”
He added that the Al-Aqsa Storm operation was a result of intelligence failure and insufficient preparedness by the occupying army.
