Watan-The medical teams in the Gaza Strip are undergoing severe pressure due to the brutal war waged by the occupying army on the Gaza Strip.
Amidst the tragic situation, particularly with the escalating Israeli aggression targeting hospitals, medical teams are attempting to cope with the overwhelming conditions they are facing.
At the European hospital, a notable and poignant video has circulated, showing a group of doctors singing during a surgical procedure in the operating room to prevent themselves from succumbing to sorrow.
The doctors were seen singing “I write your name, O my country, on the sun that never sets. Neither wealth nor children do I have, on your love, there is no beloved.”
This action by the doctors aims to cope with the work pressures they face during surgical procedures.

Gaza doctors resist sorrow and anger
In response to this scene, Dr. Jamal Abu Hilal, the head of the Orthopedics Department at the European hospital, stated that they are facing extremely challenging working conditions. They work continuously from 9 in the morning until midnight.
He added that there is a sense of camaraderie among the doctors, which helps them endure the work throughout these long hours. This camaraderie also drives them to sing some chants to prevent themselves from succumbing to overwhelming sorrow and anger due to the events happening in Gaza.
