Israel Releases Names of 300 Palestinian Prisoners

Watan-The Israeli Ministry of Justice has published a list of Palestinian prisoners who will be released as part of the deal announced by Qatar between Hamas and the occupation.

The list includes the names of 300 prisoners, with 150 set to be released in the first phase of the deal. If the agreement expands and more prisoners are released by the resistance, the remaining individuals on the list will also be set free.

Prisoners and Detainees from All Palestinian Factions

The list published by the Israeli Ministry of Justice includes the names of prisoners, both male and female, and detainees from various Palestinian factions, including Hamas, Fatah, Islamic Jihad, the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, and other factions. Most of them are from East Jerusalem and the West Bank.

Qatar Announces Ceasefire Deal

Qatar previously announced the successful mediation efforts in reaching a humanitarian ceasefire agreement in Gaza. This comes after 46 days of the conflict initiated by the Israeli military against the besieged enclave.

According to a statement from the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs posted on its “Ex” platform account: “The State of Qatar declares the success of joint mediation efforts with the Arab Republic of Egypt and the United States of America between Israel and the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas). This has resulted in an agreement for a humanitarian ceasefire, the timing of which will be announced within 24 hours and will last for four days, subject to extension

According to the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs statement, the agreement includes the exchange of 50 civilian women and children prisoners from Gaza in the first stage, in return for the release of a number of Palestinian women and children detained in Israeli prisons. The numbers of those released are expected to increase in subsequent stages of the agreement.

The ceasefire allows for the entry of more humanitarian convoys and relief aid, including fuel designated for humanitarian needs.

Qatar, as stated in the release, reaffirms its commitment to continuing diplomatic efforts to de-escalate the situation, prevent further bloodshed, and protect civilians.
