Child's Smile Shines Through After Being Rescued from the Rubble of His Family's Home in Gaza

Watan-Palestinian activists have shared a video showcasing a Palestinian child’s resilient smile after being rescued from the wreckage of his family’s home, destroyed by the continuous bombardment during the 47th day of the Israeli ongoing war on Gaza.

In the footage, the child‘s parent can be heard saying affectionately, “Oh my eyes, how resilient he is, oh my eyes. Do you want something? Ah… smile for the camera… oh my eyes, look at this smile.”

“Oh my eyes, look at this smile,” he continues. “He came out from under the rubble, and he’s smiling… Subhan Allah (Glory be to God)…”

Since the declaration of the Israeli war on Gaza on October 7th, following the heroic operation by Palestinian resistance against settlements near the border, the people of Palestine in Gaza have been subjected to a genocidal war and ethnic cleansing against civilians.

Over 6,000 Palestinian children have lost their lives in the indiscriminate Israeli airstrikes, particularly in the southern regions, targeting homes, residential areas, schools, and churches throughout various locations in the Gaza Strip.

Humanitarian Ceasefire for 4 Days Announced in Gaza

The Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced the achievement of a humanitarian ceasefire, set to be declared in the coming hours through Qatari and Egyptian-American mediation. The ceasefire, lasting for 4 days and subject to extension, will facilitate the release of 50 prisoners, including children and women, held by the Palestinian resistance in Gaza.

Additionally, as part of the agreement, the Israeli occupation will release 150 prisoners, including children and women, from its jails. Furthermore, humanitarian aid and fuel, amounting to 200 trucks daily, will be allowed into Gaza through the border crossings during the ceasefire to halt hostilities.

It is noteworthy that the toll of the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip has surpassed 14,000 Palestinian martyrs, the majority of whom are civilians, including children, women, and the elderly. Approximately 33,000 people have sustained various injuries up to this moment, as reported by the Gaza Government Media Office.
