Watan-The military expert, General Fayez al-Duweiri, revealed the extent of the losses incurred by the Israeli occupation army during ground battles with Palestinian resistance in the Gaza Strip.
During an interview with Al Jazeera, al-Duweiri stated that the occupation army loses one vehicle and six personnel, either killed or injured, every hour and 20 minutes. Consequently, this translates to a minimum of 3,185 casualties (killed and injured) over the course of the 22-day ground operation in the Gaza Strip.
Al-Duweiri added that Israel will not disclose its true losses until six months after the end of the battle.
The military expert also clarified that the images published by the resistance confirm that missile launches remain active, mortar shells are still operational, and zero-hour battles continue. Additionally, there is ongoing engagement with various moving and stationary targets using different methods.
Greater losses await the occupying army
The expert highlighted that the more the occupying army advances in any axis within Gaza, the more challenging its situation becomes, providing greater opportunities for the resistance to engage. He pointed out that recent images from the battles affirm the effectiveness with which the resistance is managing the conflict.
He emphasized that resistance fighters demonstrate greater efficiency even compared to Delta Force units, as they engage in battles at point-blank range without protection or cover, and wearing civilian clothes.
Many casualties in ground battles
The casualties increase in ground battles, with the death toll of the Israeli army in Gaza continuously rising to 72, according to the official count. However, Palestinian resistance, particularly Hamas, claims that the actual number of Israeli casualties is several times higher than officially reported.
An Israeli official disclosed that 1,600 Israeli soldiers have been diagnosed with disabilities since the beginning of Operation Al-Aqsa Flood on October 7th of last year.
Hundreds of Disabilities Result from the Battles
Alongside the destruction of hundreds of Israeli vehicles and tanks during the ground battles, the head of the Association for the Disabled in the Israeli occupation army, Aidan Kelman, revealed that since October 7th, the army has identified 1,600 soldiers with disabilities, and 400 soldiers remain in hospitals.

He added, ‘These are only the wounded, and thousands more will come to us suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder,’ emphasizing that this number is unprecedented in Israel’s history, surpassing even the October War.
