Hind Rajab Foundation Files ICC Complaint Against Israeli Foreign Minister

Belgium-Based Human Rights Group Alleges Sa'ar’s Complicity in Gaza War Crimes Alongside Netanyahu.

Watan-The Hind Rajab human rights organization, based in Belgium, has filed an official complaint with the International Criminal Court in The Hague against Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar, accusing him of complicity in genocide crimes in the Gaza Strip.

On Sunday, the Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper reported that the organization—founded by Palestinian activists in Europe—filed an official complaint with the ICC against Sa’ar just before his departure for Brussels.

According to the newspaper, the complaint states that Sa’ar is a partner in war crimes in the Gaza Strip alongside Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

It is worth noting that the Hind Rajab Foundation works to document and gather evidence of human rights violations and crimes committed in the Palestinian territories, aiming to legally pursue Israeli leaders and military personnel in international courts.

According to the newspaper, neither the Israeli Foreign Minister nor his government has issued any official response regarding this complaint.

The timeline for Sa’ar’s visit to Brussels remains unknown.

On November 21, 2024, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants against Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for committing war crimes and crimes against humanity against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.

In its own description, the Hind Rajab Foundation states that it was established during the ongoing genocide in Gaza and honors the memory of the martyred child Hind Rajab, as well as all those who lost their lives or suffered under the Israeli genocide campaign.

It says that its primary mission is to actively seek legal action against those responsible for these atrocities, including perpetrators, accomplices, and inciters of violence against Palestinians.

Hind was a Palestinian girl who was only 5 years old when the Israeli army killed her by bombing the car in which she and six of her relatives had taken refuge in the Tal al-Hawa neighborhood in the southwestern part of Gaza City on January 29, 2024.
