Challenges and Violations During Gaza Ceasefire: A Closer Look at Israeli Military Activity
Flight Path of Israeli Military Aircraft off the Coast of Gaza

Watan-In the morning of Saturday, the second day of the humanitarian ceasefire in Gaza, the “ECAD” platform observed activity of Israeli military aircraft off the coast of Gaza. The ceasefire came into effect on Friday and is scheduled to last for four days.

Navigation programs indicated the flight of two aircraft, both of the BOEING 707-300 model. According to the Israeli Air Force website, these aircraft are identified as fuel supply planes.

In addition to the previously mentioned Boeing 707-300 aircraft, the second plane identified is of the Lockheed C-130 Hercules model. This aircraft is affiliated with the Israeli Air Force, and according to the manufacturer Lockheed Martin, it is capable of performing reconnaissance and ground target detection missions.

Gaza Ceasefire Implementation

On Friday, the temporary humanitarian ceasefire between Israel and Palestinian factions went into effect, spanning four days with the possibility of extension.

The agreement for the temporary humanitarian ceasefire includes the release of 50 Israeli prisoners from Gaza in exchange for the release of 150 Palestinians from Israeli prisons. Additionally, hundreds of trucks loaded with humanitarian, relief, medical, and fuel aid are to be delivered to all areas of the Gaza Strip.

The deal also stipulates a complete halt to Israeli aerial activities in southern Gaza throughout the ceasefire period. Israeli flights over Gaza City and the north are suspended for six hours daily from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Hamas Observes Israeli Violations

A source within the Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, confirmed the detection of four Israeli violations that threaten the implementation of the temporary ceasefire in Gaza. This includes the completion of the prisoner exchange before the release of the second batch.

The source informed the German news agency that the violations involve Israeli aircraft flying in the airspace of southern Gaza and gunfire in border areas, resulting in casualties.

Furthermore, Israel obstructed the entry of humanitarian supplies, including fuel, into Gaza City and its northern regions, despite the agreement to allow 100 trucks out of a total of 200.

The source also pointed out Israel’s manipulation of the criteria for the release of Palestinian prisoners in exchange for Israeli detainees from Gaza.

Al-Qassam Brigades Delay Release of Second Batch

In response to the Israeli violations, the Al-Qassam Brigades postponed the release of the second batch of Israeli prisoners until the occupation complies with the agreement regarding the entry of relief trucks to the northern Gaza Strip and adheres to the agreed-upon standards for the release of prisoners.

Qatar intervened with intensive efforts to resolve these tensions, leading to the eventual implementation of the deal late on Saturday evening.
