Watan-In the past hours, there has been an intense Israeli escalation in various parts of the West Bank, resulting in the loss of eight Palestinian lives at the hands of Israeli forces.
Jenin witnessed the highest toll, with six Palestinians killed in the city and its camp in the northern West Bank, following a wide-scale incursion by the Israeli occupation forces.

During the raid, the occupying forces targeted several homes with artillery shells and military vehicles bulldozed through streets, causing destruction to properties in the city and outskirts of the camp.
A leader in the Jenin brigade martyred
A leader in the Jenin brigade, Asaad Ali al-Damaj, was martyred, and eight young men were wounded to varying degrees, following a missile strike targeting a house in the camp.
Occupation forces besieged Jenin Government Hospital, Ibn Sina Hospital, and the Palestinian Red Crescent Society’s headquarters, preventing ambulances from moving except with prior coordination.
Armed clashes erupted between occupation forces and Palestinian resistance fighters for several hours until the withdrawal of the occupation forces from the city of Jenin and its camp.
Meanwhile, the Al-Quds Brigades in the West Bank stated: ‘Our fighters in the Jenin brigade courageously engaged in a fierce operation and confrontation lasting several hours against the advancing forces and vehicles of the occupation on multiple fronts in the Jenin camp and nearby towns. They inflicted confirmed injuries on the enemy, trapping them in a barrage of fire, explosive devices, and ambushes. Our fighters also executed operations to detonate military vehicles in the Duma neighborhood, rendering them out of service.’
Video footage showed the detonation of an explosive device targeting an Israeli military vehicle in the vicinity of the Jenin camp.
Israeli drones were observed flying in the skies
Israeli drones were spotted flying in the skies of Jenin, with sniper teams extensively positioned on the rooftops of buildings overlooking the camp and within it. There was also a wide deployment of Israeli occupation forces’ vehicles and soldiers in various areas.
Meanwhile, a house in the Jenin camp caught fire after being targeted by the Israeli forces.
In response to the events, the national action factions in Jenin declared a general strike on Sunday in mourning for the lives lost in Jenin and its camp.

In a simultaneous incident, the Palestinian youth Adi Musab Sannour (30 years old) succumbed to his injuries sustained during clashes with the occupation forces in the village of Yetma, south of Nablus in the northern West Bank.

Another Palestinian youth was martyred by Israeli forces’ gunfire in the settlement of Psagot, east of the city of Al-Bireh in the West Bank.
With these incidents, the number of Palestinians killed by the Israeli army in the West Bank has risen to 239 martyrs since the current escalation began on October 7th. Additionally, 2950 have been injured, according to the Ministry of Health.
According to the latest count by the Palestinian Prisoners Club, the number of arrests has exceeded 3160 since October 7th.
