Devotion to Resistance and Palestine Amidst the Gaza War
A Palestinian Survivor of the War on Gaza

Watan-“Here are the words that reflect resilience and defiance from a Palestinian man in Gaza who survived death during the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip: ‘I present it to you on a plate… We are devoted to the resistance and to Palestine.’

The Palestinian man, in a video shared by Al Jazeera on Facebook, stated, ‘They want us to emigrate, but we don’t want to emigrate… This is an injury I sustained in my hands in the early days of the war on the Gaza Strip.’

He added, ‘I swear, even if I were torn into pieces, we wouldn’t want to emigrate.’

“We are devoted to the resistance and Palestine”

He continued, “We are with the resistance, presenting it to you straightforwardly, and, in short, we are dedicated to Palestine as well.”

In the Gaza Strip, a temporary humanitarian ceasefire is prevailing, brokered by Qatar and Egypt, lasting for four days and set to conclude in the middle of this week. However, possibilities and indicators suggest the potential extension of the ceasefire following international pressure to restore calm to the region.

The Israeli occupation committed thousands of massacres against civilians, including children, women, and the elderly, by bombarding homes, schools, residential neighborhoods, and churches, targeting their inhabitants without prior warning.

Among the most notable of these massacres were those at Al-Ma’madani Hospital and the Palestinian refugee camps scattered across the areas of Jabalia, Shati, Bureij, and Maghazi. Thousands of civilians lost their lives as a result of these attacks.

The Israeli occupation forces also besieged several hospitals in Gaza City and its northern areas, forcing them to cease operations. Notable among these were Al-Shifa Medical Complex, the Indonesian Hospital, Al-Rantisi Hospital, Al-Nasr Hospital, Al-Ma’madani Hospital, and others. However, the Israeli forces withdrew from these locations with the onset of the humanitarian ceasefire.

According to preliminary statistics, more than 14,000 Palestinian martyrs have fallen, with over 80% of them being civilians, including children, women, and the elderly. Additionally, 33,000 others have sustained various injuries, according to the latest report released by the Gaza government’s media office up to this moment.
