Watan-An Israeli newspaper has broken the silence imposed by the occupation army, revealing that approximately 1,000 Israeli soldiers have been injured since the outbreak of the war and ground operations in the Gaza Strip.

According to Haaretz, citing the Israeli army, about 1,000 soldiers were injured in the war and battles that took place in the Gaza Strip, with 202 of them in serious condition.

It further stated that 320 soldiers had moderate injuries, while around 470 were described as having minor injuries.

Former Israeli Refusal

According to Haaretz, the Israeli occupation army initially refused to disclose data on the number of injured soldiers and their conditions. However, it recently agreed to provide this information.

It is worth noting that as of last Wednesday, the death toll of the Israeli occupation army has risen to 71 officers and soldiers since the start of ground operations in Gaza on October 27th.

This information is based on the daily announcements from the army, while the Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas, claim that the actual number is higher than officially reported.

Israeli Admission to Engage in Fierce Battles

The Israeli occupying army has previously admitted to engaging in what it described as fierce battles in the Gaza Strip against Palestinian resistance.

According to official Israeli figures, since October 7, the Palestinian resistance has killed more than 1,200 Israelis, including around 400 officers and soldiers.

It is worth noting that the battles ceased in the region since last Friday, following the temporary humanitarian ceasefire between the occupying army and Palestinian factions, which was implemented for a period of 4 days before being extended for an additional two days on Monday evening.
