Watan-The Israeli occupation forces stormed the city and refugee camp of Jenin in the northern West Bank for over 14 hours, conducting extensive military operations.
The occupation forces declared Jenin city and its camp a closed military zone, imposing a tight siege on several hospitals in the city, including the government hospital. The sounds of gunfire and explosions echoed amid infrastructure demolition.
Large Israeli forces, accompanied by bulldozers, invaded Jenin city and its camp from multiple directions.
The occupation forces raided several neighborhoods, deployed snipers on the rooftops of several tall buildings, and imposed a blockade on the Jenin camp from all directions.
Abu Ubaida’s Voice Echoes in Mosque Minarets”
Activists have circulated a video documenting a speech by Abu Ubaida, the spokesperson for the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas, in the mosques of Jenin city during an Israeli army incursion.
Houses Destroyed in Jenin
As the military operations continued in the camp, the Israeli army forced families to evacuate their homes in the Damaj neighborhood in the Jenin camp.
The Israeli army subsequently detonated several houses after evacuating them, leaving behind significant traces of destruction.
Armed Clashes Erupt in Jenin
Armed clashes broke out between the Israeli army and Palestinians in the area of Cinema Square and the Jabariyat neighborhood in Jenin, as well as in the camp.
It is worth noting that since October 7th of last year, the Israeli army has intensified its incursion and arrest operations in cities and towns in the West Bank, resulting in the killing of 242 Palestinians, injuring over 3,000, and arresting 3,260.
