Watan-Intelligence and military sources from Israel have revealed the approach adopted by its occupying army in the current war on the Gaza Strip.
These sources, including high-ranking officers in the Israeli Air Force, admitted that the occupying army deliberately targets Palestinian civilians extensively, with the aim of “accumulating deterrence” and solidifying a shock effect within the Palestinian society.

Despite the occupying army’s insistence on pointing out a military target in the files related to the targeted area, as reported in an investigation by the Israeli website “Sihamedkomit,” citing intelligence sources.
However, the occupying army utilizes the reference to military targets as a means to justify striking Palestinian civilian population centers.
The Suburb Doctrine
The investigation indicated that the security doctrine that substantiates and justifies the targeting of civilians is the “Suburb Doctrine,” formulated by the occupying army during the Second Lebanon War in 2006.
This doctrine involves an expansion in targeting civilian facilities, particularly in the southern suburbs of Beirut.
Rooted Hamas Justifies Targeting all Gaza Residents
A senior former official in Israeli intelligence stated, “Due to the deep-rooted presence of the Hamas movement in Palestinian social fabric, this provides the occupying army with justifications to strike civilian targets, especially residential buildings and towers.”
He added, “This stems from the fact that any tower or building is not without a person associated with this movement, explaining the scale of widespread targeting of Palestinian civilians in Gaza.”
Striking an Infinite Number of Gaza Residents
According to the investigation, invoking the presence of Hamas elements gives the occupiers the opportunity to strike an infinite number of civilian targets through intense and severe aerial bombardments.
The investigation concluded that the occupiers have precise knowledge of the number of civilians in each household.
Expanding the Range of Strikes to Ensure Target Hits
An Israeli military source remarked, “In some cases, we detonate houses and buildings imprecisely because we do not know exactly where the targeted person is, so we expand the range of strikes to ensure their killing, even though we could pinpoint the target’s location with additional effort.”
The source added that the occupiers’ missiles are accurately targeted, and war leaders are well aware of the exact extent of collateral damage from the airstrikes.
It is noteworthy that on the 57th day of the war in Gaza, Israel continued its offensive for the second day after the end of a week-long ceasefire. In the past hours, the occupying aircraft conducted airstrikes in various parts of the Gaza Strip, resulting in the death of 200 people and the injury of 589 since Friday morning.
