Dozens of Women Embrace Islam in Australia, Influenced by Gaza Events

Watan-A Video Circulates on Social Media Showing Dozens of Women in Australia Embracing Islam, Inspired by the Resilience of Gaza Residents Amid Recent Israeli Attacks Resuming After a 7-day Ceasefire.

The Turkish newspaper “Yeni Şafak” confirmed that a group of women converted to Islam at the “Meadow Heights” mosque in Melbourne, Australia.

The report clarified that the women took this step as a result of being moved by the events unfolding in Gaza.

Admiration for the Resilience of the Resistance

The foreign women expressed their admiration for the steadfastness and faith of the Palestinians, which touched their hearts and prompted them to explore and be influenced by, eventually embracing, the Islamic religion.

The renowned American blogger, Abby Hafez, announced her conversion to Islam, emphasizing that the determination of the people in Gaza was a turning point in her life and transformation, as reported by Al Jazeera.

The well-known blogger affirmed that the displays of steadfastness and conviction among the people of Gaza led her to search for the source of this resilience, leading her to explore the Quran.

Abby Hafez pointed out that “Muslims in the United States support and pray for Gaza, and God will grant them freedom, hope, and security soon, God willing.

Resumption of War Against Gaza

Israel resumed its military operations against the Gaza Strip on Friday, December 1, 2023, targeting various areas in the northern, central, and southern parts of the region since the morning. The attacks resulted in dozens of casualties and injuries, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza.

Since October 7th of the previous year, Israel has been waging a destructive war on the Gaza Strip, causing extensive damage to infrastructure and claiming tens of thousands of civilian casualties, mostly children and women.

This comes in addition to an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe caused by the ruthless bombardment. Despite the brutality employed by the occupation in its attempts to subdue the military wing of Hamas, known as the Al-Qassam Brigades, and other fighting factions, the people of Gaza, including resistance fighters, remain resilient against all forms of aggression.
