Watan-Hamas’ military wing, the Al-Qassam Brigades, announced the killing of a significant number of occupation forces in ground battles north of Gaza.
The statement revealed that the Al-Qassam Brigades succeeded in killing a large number of Israeli soldiers by detonating explosives in their camp, which housed 60 soldiers east of Juhor Ad-Dik.
The statement reported, ‘Earlier today, Al-Qassam fighters detected a concentration of dozens of occupation soldiers (60 soldiers) inside tents at a designated point east of Juhor Ad-Dik.
The fighters planted three anti-personnel explosive devices in a circular formation around the camp. At 4:30, the explosives were detonated, causing casualties among the occupation forces. One of the fighters advanced to eliminate the remaining members of the force, and the fighters safely withdrew to their positions after inflicting significant casualties on the occupying soldiers.
The Occupation Admits to Hamas’ Superiority in Gaza Battles
Simultaneously, an Israeli army spokesperson acknowledged that Hamas excels in its knowledge of the battlefield and its control over the region.
The spokesperson added that the Israeli army is gathering information to enhance its operations on the ground, noting that Hamas possesses sophisticated and underground capabilities from which it launches attacks on Israel, including the possession and capability to launch missiles.
Names and Ranks of Several Israeli Senior Officers Killed
In the context of the declared Israeli losses, the occupation army revealed the names and ranks of several high-ranking officers who were killed in the ongoing war in the Gaza Strip since October 7th of last year. Among the casualties were four officers with the rank of Colonel and six officers with the rank of Major.
The list of casualties includes Colonel Asaf Hamami (41 years old), the commander of the Southern Brigade in the Gaza Division, who was killed in an attack on October 7th, and his body was held in Gaza. Colonel Yonatan Steinberg (42 years old), the commander of the Nahal Brigade, was killed in a firefight near Karm Abu Salem. Colonel Leon Bar, a senior officer in the West Bank Division of the Israeli occupation army.
The list also includes Colonel Roee Yosef Levi (44 years old), the commander of the Multi-Dimensional Unit, and Major Sahar Tsion Mekhloof (33 years old), the commander of the communication battalion in the Gaza Division. Major Yonatan Tsour (33 years old), the commander of a battalion in the Golani Brigade, and Major Eli Gensberg (42 years old), an officer in the Navy Commando Unit ‘Shayetet-13’ from the elite units, served in his last position as the commander of the counter-terrorism school.
The list also includes Major Alim Abdullah (40 years old), Deputy Commander of the 300th Brigade, killed in a confrontation on the border with Lebanon. Major Medan Yisrael (35 years old), the commander of the Supply Command in the Southern Command, and Major Salman Habka (33 years old), the commander of Battalion 53, were killed in the battle in the northern Gaza Strip.
The Israeli army announced the death of an officer from the Seventh Brigade
On Saturday morning, the Israeli army announced the death of an officer from the Seventh Brigade during the ongoing battles in central Gaza.
They also reported the death of a soldier from the Nahal Brigade due to injuries sustained in battles in northern Gaza last month.
According to the latest official toll, the Israeli army has lost 398 soldiers and officers since the beginning of the war on the Gaza Strip.
