Tensions Rise in Tel Aviv as Massive Protests Demand Action for Captives Amidst the Israeli War on Gaza

Watan-The release of photos and videos revealed the emergence of large protests by settlers in Tel Aviv, condemning the policies of the occupation government and exerting pressure on Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to return to negotiations and engage in prisoner exchange deals with the resistance in Gaza.

The circulated footage and images depicted the families of Israeli captives held by Hamas gathering in Tel Aviv, raising banners that demand the occupation government to save their loved ones and return to negotiations with the resistance and prisoner exchange deals.

Massive protests in Tel Aviv in support of families with relatives imprisoned by Hamas

Thousands of Israelis participated in these protests in Tel Aviv, showing their support for the families of the prisoners and calling on the Netanyahu government to urgently find a solution for their release.

On Saturday, Israel continued its aggression for the second day after the end of a week-long ceasefire, launching airstrikes on various parts of the besieged Gaza Strip.”

The Israeli Prime Minister’s advisor stated on Saturday, ‘We will expand our security control over the Gaza Strip to prevent Hamas from returning.

The Israeli Broadcasting Authority, citing political sources, reported that Israel assesses there is no opportunity for another exchange deal in the coming days.

Hamas: ‘No Prisoner Exchange Without Ceasefire

Meanwhile, the Deputy Head of the Political Bureau of Hamas, Saleh al-Arouri, stated to Al Jazeera that the official position of the movement now is, ‘No prisoner exchange without a ceasefire, and the remaining captives in Gaza are soldiers and civilian men who served in the occupation army.’

French President Emmanuel Macron warned Israel on Saturday that its declared goal of completely eliminating Hamas could lead to a war lasting 10 years. He announced that he is on his way to Qatar to seek a resumption of the ceasefire that lasted for 7 days and ended on Friday morning.

Macron said at a press conference on the sidelines of the climate conference in Dubai, UAE: ‘What does it mean to completely eliminate Hamas? Does anyone think this is possible? If so, the war will continue for 10 years.’

The French president urged Tel Aviv to clarify the goal it has set, which is to eliminate the Hamas movement, warning of an endless war.
