Watan-A video has circulated showing citizens in the Gaza Strip complaining that the Egyptian authorities rejected their entry into its territory as they attempted to escape the Israeli war on the region.
A significant number of citizens, mostly children, were seen carrying their belongings. One of them expressed, “The Egyptians refuse to let us enter Egypt… We are Egyptians, and my father and mother are in Egypt. I just want to get out… cursed.”

The circulation of this video coincided with revelations from the Sinai Foundation for Human Rights, which released footage it claimed showed the Egyptian army constructing earth barriers east of the city of Rafah, along the Egyptian border with the Gaza Strip.
The Sinai Foundation, an independent human rights organization monitoring and documenting human rights conditions on the Sinai Peninsula, published an image of the high earth barriers, behind which buildings and communication towers appeared.
The Egyptian military vehicles have been accustomed to tightening their measures along the Egyptian borders, closing off routes for any Palestinian migration towards Egypt by erecting high earth barriers and deploying military units, including tanks, armored vehicles, and special forces.
In October of last year, engineering vehicles belonging to the Egyptian armed forces replaced the iron gate of the crossing with a high concrete wall.
This action completely obstructed visibility between the Egyptian and Palestinian sides, and any type of vehicles operating on the crossing road was prohibited from reaching it.
