Hamas Plans Terrify the Occupation
Israeli military intelligence obtained a document over a year before the Al-Aqsa Tempest operation, revealing details of a similar operation to the one executed on October 7th. However, the intelligence considered it a “fantasy scenario,” as reported by The New York Times.

Sources quoted an Israeli officer telling journalists, “What surprised me the most was the level of detail and preparation” for this operation, uncovering detailed tactical plans.
These plans included a list of targets, names of participating units and their members, each unit’s mission with operational details, precise timing, and a list of required weapons. Additionally, there was a detailed hand-drawn map of the Nahl Oz settlement, which Hamas entered during the attack.
Furthermore, fighters from the Hamas movement who were martyred during the Al-Aqsa Tempest operation were found with detailed satellite images of the kibbutzim that came under attack.
Resistance Instructions Regarding Hostages
According to an Israeli officer, “everything found indicates that part of Hamas’s training focused on the method of taking hostages and what should be done and how to deal with them.”
Regarding the handling of hostages, fighters were instructed to do the following with each hostage: “blindfold the eyes, bind the hands, prepare the detention room, and inspect the hostages’ clothing.” The instructions also included Hebrew vocabulary and its Arabic equivalent to communicate with them, such as “don’t move, raise your hands, be quiet, and walk quickly.”
The Israeli occupation also claimed to have obtained images of tunnels in Gaza, including passages reinforced with cement and metal, wide and high enough to accommodate a car.
