Additionally, three girls from the Zafar family were confirmed martyred due to intense Israeli shelling on the Al-Zawya Mosque in Block 5. It was reported that Israeli forces are stationed in the southern areas of “Al-Falouja” and the northern areas of the Jabalia camp, with continuous artillery bombardment that shows no signs of stopping.

The family of Al Jazeera correspondent Momen Al-Sharafi has also suffered casualties

Al Jazeera correspondent Momen Al-Sharafi revealed that his last communication with his family was a voice message from his mother just days before her martyrdom. In the message, she expressed her longing for him and her hope to reunite after the war.

Al-Sharafi emphasized that what hurts him the most is that he was unable to even see his parents after their martyrdom, to imprint a farewell kiss on their foreheads, or to bury them as they are buried under the rubble.

In his first appearance on Al Jazeera after the loss of his family, Momen Al-Sharafi said, “We are deprived of the last look at our relatives who are martyred, and we are deprived of burying them.”

He added that neither the civil defense teams nor volunteers were able to retrieve the bodies of any of the martyrs until his appearance. Only a girl, thrown by the force of the explosion onto the roof of a nearby building, was recovered and fragmented.

He pointed out that the explosion created a deep crater, and the remains of the martyrs were scattered in the air.

On the 61st day, the Israeli army continues its brutal and intensive shelling on Gaza as part of its monstrous aggression, which has resulted in more than 16,248 martyrs, including 7,112 children and 4,885 women, as well as 43,616 injuries, according to the latest statistics from the Ministry of Health in the besieged enclave.
