Israeli Officer’s Controversial Gift Sparks Response from Al-Qassam

Watan-In a widely circulated video on social media platforms, an Israeli officer is seen dedicating a house explosion in Gaza as a birthday gift to his daughter. The officer is later claimed to have been recently killed in military operations in the northern part of the Gaza Strip.

Social media users discussed the alleged death of the Israeli occupation officer, who reportedly detonated a building belonging to a “Palestinian family in Gaza” weeks ago in celebration of his daughter’s birthday.

The video of the Israeli officer has resurfaced, showing him walking amidst the destroyed houses bombed by Israeli forces in Gaza. In the footage, he states, “I dedicate this explosion to my daughter on her second birthday. I miss you, and you will be proud,” followed by a countdown to the moment of the blast.

Fate of Officer Who Gifted Daughter a House Explosion in Gaza Uncertain

Following the dedication of a house explosion in Gaza as a birthday gift to his daughter, the residential building, consisting of multiple floors, witnessed a massive explosion.

Although Algerian journalist Hafez Drajey officially announced the death of the Israeli officer, no official source was mentioned. Neither Israeli nor Palestinian statements on the matter have been reported by Watan.

Abdullah mentioned that Haaretz published the names of several casualties among the Israeli forces, including Iyal Mayer Berkowitz, a 28-year-old officer who detonated a building in Gaza to celebrate his daughter’s birthday. He reportedly passed away two days ago, on December 7, 2023.

Upon investigation, it was confirmed that the article appeared in Haaretz, revealing a significant resemblance between the officer’s image who met his demise and the one in the video exploding the house as a gift to his daughter. However, there is no direct confirmation from Israeli media or official sources indicating whether Iyal Mayer is indeed the same person.

According to Anadolu, citing official (believed to be much lower than the actual) statistics, the total number of Israeli soldier casualties since the start of the war on October 7th is around 420.

Various Israeli military sources indicate that approximately 20 Israeli soldiers have lost their lives in the past five days, out of the total 420 casualties.
