The girls were seemingly trapped on the roof of the house as extensive bombing left the area in flames. The Israeli military’s ongoing assault on the Gaza Strip has reached its 68th consecutive day, with intensified airstrikes hitting various parts of the region, resulting in an escalating death toll.

The latest announced figures indicate that the brutal Israeli war has claimed the lives of 18,412 Palestinians, with 50,100 reported injuries, most of them being children and women. The conflict has also caused massive infrastructure damage, contributing to an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe.
