Watan-Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, announced on Thursday the killing of at least 10 officers and soldiers of the Israeli occupation army. This came after targeting them with powerful explosive devices east of the city of Gaza.

In a statement, the Brigades reported that upon the return of its fighters from the frontlines in the Shuja’iya neighborhood, they reported targeting an Israeli foot patrol on Hassanein Street with powerful explosive devices.

The resistance fighters confirmed the killing of at least ten officers and soldiers of the occupation army.

Death of 10 Officers and Soldiers in Recent Operation

This operation comes a day after the announcement by the Israeli occupation army on Wednesday of the killing of 10 of its members, including an officer and a soldier, during battles with the Palestinian resistance in the Shuja’iya neighborhood and Jabalia camp.

Targeting Occupation Tanks and Vehicles

Simultaneously, the Al-Qassam Brigades announced the targeting of two Israeli ‘Merkava’ tanks with ‘Yasin 105’ shells in the Shuja’iya neighborhood. They also reported targeting 4 tanks and 4 armored vehicles in the Sheikh Radwan area north of Gaza City with Yasin 105 anti-tank shells.

Earlier on Thursday, the Israeli occupation army had announced the death of an officer from the Armored Corps in battles in the southern Gaza Strip.

So far, the Israeli occupation army has confirmed the death of 116 and the injury of 600 of its members since the start of the ground incursion into the Gaza Strip in late October last year, following the launch of the Palestinian resistance’s ‘Operation Sword of Al-Quds.’
