Debunking False Claims: the Truth Behind Allegations Aimed at Tarnishing Hamas’s Image
Images from a video promoted by accounts affiliated with Mossad claim that Hamas is stealing aid

Watan-Over the past few days, mysterious Moroccan accounts linked to the Israeli Mossad have been promoting claims that the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas is stealing Arab and international aid intended for the Palestinian people and the residents of Gaza. These claims aim to tarnish Hamas’s image, especially after its heroic resistance against Israeli occupation and its humiliating defeat of the occupiers. Faced with this, the Zionist propagandists resort to weaving lies and deception.

Israeli journalist “Idi Cohen” and accounts on “X” platform, originating from Morocco and affiliated with Mossad, including the accounts “Hoda_jannat” and “Mehdi Biladi,” have actively circulated a video spreading these allegations against Hamas.”

The mentioned video shows a covered truck carrying what appears to be goods, accompanied by cars carrying armed individuals.

The fact-checking platform “Ikad,” specialized in verifying misleading news and open sources, stated that there is no evidence supporting the claim of aid theft as alleged by the suspicious account in the video.”

Gaza Police

Upon analyzing the video, it became apparent that the individuals appearing in the footage are wearing uniforms resembling those of the Gaza Police. Further investigation into the mosque seen during the truck’s passage revealed that it is the mosque of the martyr ‘A’id Abushiti’ in the Jneina neighborhood in Rafah.

The platform continued: “Upon verifying the video’s source, it was found that the first person to publish it goes by the username ‘@aboesam32’ on the TikTok platform on December 7. The account did not make any reference to Hamas in any way.”

The mentioned account also posted other clips from the same location showing trucks passing regularly, accompanied by police or UNRWA (United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees) or Red Cross vehicles.

Comments were noted mentioning that the presence of the police was for protection against theft.

Ikad’s report emphasized that the road where the truck appears is regularly used by trucks due to its proximity to the borders. It questioned the basis on which the Israeli propagandist Cohen and the Zionist accounts tweeting from Morocco, with apparent ties to Mossad, claimed that Hamas is stealing aid.
