Israeli Occupation’s Heinous Violations: Desecration of Jenin Mosque Sparks Outrage Among Palestinians
Watan-Media outlets have broadcasted recorded footage documenting heinous violations by the Israeli occupation army against the sanctity of a mosque in the Jenin refugee camp in the northern West Bank. These violations of places of worship were praised by the Israeli Minister of National Security, Itamar Ben Gvir.
For the third consecutive day, the Israeli occupation army carried out a military aggression in Jenin and its camp, during which about 20 houses were detonated, and 700 Palestinians were arrested in escalating and continuous violations over the past weeks.
Footage shared by an Israeli account on Telegram named “Intellinews” revealed occupation soldiers entering a mosque in the Jenin camp with their shoes on.

Israeli Violations of the Sanctity of a Mosque in Jenin
The video documented how soldiers perform Talmudic prayers through the mosque’s loudspeakers, while other Israelis exchange laughter in a blatant disrespect for the sanctity of the place.
According to the footage, an Israeli soldier desecrated the mosque’s sanctity by entering with his shoes and then took hold of the loudspeaker at the mosque’s mihrab (prayer niche) and recited a Talmudic prayer, eliciting laughter from his peers.
Jews around the world celebrate what is known as “Festival of Lights” or “Hanukkah” to commemorate the so-called “victory of the Hasmoneans” in their rebellion against the Greeks during the period of the “Second Temple,” according to Jewish claims.
Settlers and occupation soldiers claim that the Greeks persecuted Jewish rights and banned Jewish worship, and their “rebellion” resulted in the occupation of Jerusalem and the replacement of Jewish rule with Greek rule.

Israeli Operation in Jenin
The Israeli Minister of National Security in the occupation, Itamar Ben Gvir, praised this violation and shared the video clip on his Telegram account, writing: “A prayer performed by our heroic soldiers in a mosque in Jenin.”
The Israeli occupation operation in Jenin resulted in the martyrdom of 11 Palestinians and the injury of dozens, while the Israeli forces admitted to the injury of 5 of their members in clashes with the resistance.
The occupation forces intensified their raids, arrests, and killings in towns and cities in the occupied West Bank, coinciding with their ongoing brutal war against the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023.
