Watan-In the face of the camera, the journalist Majed Abdul Hadi began his audio report for Al Jazeera with the phrase ‘The Rocket Confronting the Camera.’ This report covered the martyrdom of his colleague, the channel’s photographer in Gaza, Samer Abu Daka, who was martyred in an intentional Israeli occupation shelling two days ago, while his colleague, the correspondent Wael al-Dahdouh, was injured.
Majed Abdul Hadi stated in his report on Samer Abu Daka, as documented by (Watan), ‘The rocket confronts the camera, but its destructive power fails to overshadow its glaring light.
He added that this is nothing more than a sentence attempting to condense stories that have been repeating in Gaza since ‘Wael al-Dahdouh,’ who resumed his duties on Al Jazeera screen just hours after losing his wife and children in an Israeli bombardment, and resumed his mission again after being injured. Passing through about 90 journalists killed by the savage war machine, the latest being his colleague ‘Samer Abu Daka’ who was martyred alongside him.
The Palestinian journalist continued in his special report for Al Jazeera: ‘Behind the rocket stands a soldier armed with the causes of death, whose name may be ‘David’ or ‘Cohen’ or ‘Hayim’ or ‘Shahar.’ And behind the camera stands a journalist filled with the reasons for life, whose name may be ‘Samer’ or ‘Hisham’ or ‘Yasser’ or ‘Mohammed.’
The report continued that the Israeli soldier from his position in the midst of the fortified tower or the modern tank presses the launch button, destroying a warm home or a residential square with its inhabitants’ lives in a matter of seconds.
The flow of blood images
The report continued, depicting scenes of destruction in residential buildings, with a number of journalists running amidst the debris. ‘From his position under the bright sun or the rainy sky, the second person seizes the camera lens and directs it to expose a horrifying crime or an ongoing massacre, just as it has allegedly been happening for decades under the slogan ‘the right to self-defense.

Majed Abdul Hadi added that the perpetrators, who continuously seek world sympathy by portraying themselves as ‘victims of fascism,’ find no option to curb the flow of blood and limb images that expose their crimes other than adding journalists to what is called the target bank.
The killing of witnesses
Abdul Hadi concluded in his report that the killing of witnesses is the intended meaning, an explanation that almost all analyses converge upon as the singular interpretation for the fall of nearly 100 Palestinian journalists under Israeli fire in 70 days.”
The report added, “The most crucial aspect of the stories of those hit by rockets, whether they became martyrs or those whose lives were spared by chance, is that they did not deviate from performing their duty or sacrificing their lives in defense of their humanity.”
Majed Abdul Hadi concluded his passionate report by stating that the martyr “Samer Abu Daka” left Belgium, where his family lives, leaving behind a child singing, ‘Oh, how much I miss, separation has tortured me.’ He returned to Gaza ‘because there is a gas soldier there who does not hesitate to gift his daughter on her birthday by bombing a residential building, and he must be exposed, regardless of the cost.
