Watan-According to American media reports, the American billionaire Mark Zuckerberg, the founder of Meta company, is reportedly working on building a fortress in the middle of the ocean on a Hawaiian island. This would serve as a secret shelter for him and his family in the event of the outbreak of a third world war.
Documents reveal that Mark Zuckerberg’s highly secretive compound in Hawaii is about to become even more extravagant. The businessman is set to spend $270 million on multiple mansions, an entire village, and an underground bunker spanning 5,000 square feet on the property.
His distinctive project is expected to be one of the largest personal constructions ever. WIRED obtained public records and court documents that unveil all the luxurious amenities Zuckerberg plans to include in his property.
A spokesperson for Zuckerberg stated that the billionaire spent only $170 million to purchase the land for building his fortified estate, which he and his wife consider a family home for themselves and their children.
And WIRED published some photos from inside the fortified house designed to withstand nuclear explosions, which will be resorted to by the founder of Meta, the owner of social media giants Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp, Mark Zuckerberg, and his family.
The nearest large landmass will be 4,000 kilometers away, ensuring that the fortified residence remains unaffected by any nuclear explosions, according to the New York Post.
Even the main gate of the fortified estate, named ‘Koolau Ranch,’ will be blast-resistant in the event of a major global war.
What is in Mark Zuckerberg’s secret underground bunker?
The fortified complex consists of more than 10 buildings with two central palaces to be connected by a tunnel leading to an underground shelter spanning 5,000 square feet, with an escape hatch accessible via a ladder, according to construction plans as reported by Al Arabiya.
Additionally, the fortress will feature no fewer than 30 bedrooms and 30 bathrooms, and it will also include guesthouses and a collection of 11 “disk-shaped” treehouses connected to each other by rope bridges, according to the plans reviewed by the outlet.
While the fortified farm will be self-sufficient in terms of water, it will also house livestock and areas for planting crops to produce food.
Zuckerberg will be accompanied by a contingent of workers who will assist in maintenance, crop harvesting, and caring for the livestock.
It is likely that the fortress will be able to withstand for decades with provisions of food and drink, allowing those inside to live for an extended period.
When the war ends or the threat subsides, they can then exit and start a new life on the surface, according to news reports.
