Watan-A Palestinian girl collapsed in tears as she recounted the moments of her shock after seeing the remains of her younger sister, who was martyred following the impact of an Israeli shell on their home in the Gaza Strip.
In an interview with Al Jazeera, the girl said that her sister was in a bad condition, adding, ‘I saw her under the rubble… a feeling I can’t express honestly. I found my other sister, Batoul, with her hands cut off next to her, and she was lying there. I treated her like a doll, not realizing she was Batoul.’
Meanwhile, the father narrated the details of what happened, saying that he was searching for his wife under the debris and rescued her after three days. He explained that his middle daughter, Aya, came out as nothing but remains, specifically a skull.
And he pointed out the martyrdom of his two nephews, with a total of seven martyrs, explaining that his daughter (who is still alive) is haunted by the sight of the remains of her sister.
